Things You Must Not Dare To Do In Dubai

Just go to Dubai and have fun! You don’t need any problems there. Seriously, you don’t want to make any problems in Dubai

All the countries of the world have their own tradition and their own customs which are not something that they wanted to choose. Noo, those customs, and traditions are something that is a matter of history. All the peoples inherit those customs over generation and generations of people. That is simply something you must respect if you are spending time in some foreign country. And also

To give you a better explanation of what the hell am I talk… writing about, I will give you some examples.

– JAPAN – Tipping is an insult.
– Middle East, Latin America, Western Africa, Russia, and Greece – Thumbs up is the same thing as holding a middle finger. Don’t do it!
– Australia, New Zealand, some parts of Ireland, Scotland, and Netherlands – Taxi drivers don’t like when you sit right next to them. Ride a shotgun.
– Japan – Laughing with your mouth open is considered to be rude.
– Turkey and some Asian countries – Having one hand in your pocket are extremely arrogant.
– Africa, India, Sri Lanka, and the Middle East – don’t do anything with your left hand. You know, not all countries have a toilet paper sooo….
– South Korea – It’s strange for men to show any skin. Even at the beach.

Now you understand how some marginal things could insult people from different countries. And don’t judge them! That is their way, and you should learn it and respect it.

Today, I would like to talk about Dubai and their customs, because it is a very popular destination for tourists from all over the world, and it would be…. Healthy for you to know a thing or two about them, and their culture.

Don’t Do Drugs!

Police in Dubai is very strict about any kind of drugs. There have been cases of people being kept behind bars only for carrying some painkillers in their bags. Anything that is considered to be toxic is illegal.

No Alcohol in Public!

Drinking in public is strictly forbidden. Foreign residents can drink at home, tourists can drink in licensed hotels, but no one is allowed to get wasted. And don’t even think about driving with even the smallest percentage of alcohol in your blood. You will get in some serious trouble, and I don’t even want to think about that.

Singing and Dancing on The Streets is Forbidden

Talking loud, singing or dancing on streets of Dubai is forbidden.

No PDA!!

In Dubai, you must not show your PDA! You can use your PDAs but you can’t show the PDA. Ok, I am going to stop trolling you, PDA is “public display of affection”. Kissing and hugging someone in a public place or wherever someone can see you are considered rude. There are some rumors about a couple from England that got busted because they thought that it would be a good idea to make love on the beach. Big mistake!

Clothes – Keep them on!

There are no laws against fashion but you simply need to be dressed modestly and respectful. And in reality, when you look at some of their women and their fashion and compare them to tourists that like to add some kind of “freedom” to their style, you see how beautiful their fashion actually is. So be respectful to their ways and dress accordingly.

In Dubai, They Don’t Like Naked People

This is not only for those girls that like to walk around in topless. This one is for all the men that like to go shirtless. Dress up, Mr. Matthew McConaughey!

Taking Photos

You can take photos, don’t worry about that. In the end, Dubai would not be so popular if there weren’t photos of its beauty. However, be careful not to take pictures of people without their consent, especially women!

Don’t Curse

Don’t curse in Dubai. Avoid using any bad words and vulgar language in Dubai. You should even avoid saying the well known F word because you could get charged for that. And also, avoid saying anything against Islam… That would be a really bad idea… So, basically think before you speak.

Keep Your Belongings Close

The crime rate in Dubai is very low, however, there will always be thieves.

Keep Your LGBT Style Under the Radar

It is a popular trend in the world to become open to LGBT lifestyle. However, UAE is not one of those countries. Any LGBT relationships are considered crime in Dubai.
